WearPico Smart Watch
A fully custom smartwatch enclosure and circuit design, built around a touchscreen, accelerometer, and vibration motor with no full OS.
Project Overview
WearPico is an open-source smartwatch project led by Umut Sevdi, who wrote the C firmware (running without a full OS) and the companion Android app. I joined as the hardware collaborator, solely responsible for the physical build: a custom-designed, 3D-printed case and circuit layout bringing together a touchscreen, accelerometer, buzzer, and vibration motor into a working wearable.

Technical Details
- Circuit Design: Designed with Fritzing and EasyEDA for schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Enclosure: Modeled in Fusion 360 and 3D-printed to fit the touchscreen and internal components precisely; the model is also published on Thingiverse.
- Firmware & Features: Runs directly on the Raspberry Pi Pico without a full OS, supporting fitness tracking, call handling, notifications, media control, reminders, alarms, a lock screen, and more.
- My Role: I was solely responsible for the hardware — the enclosure and circuit design — while Umut Sevdi developed the firmware and the Bluetooth-connected Android companion app.
